04 Jan Treasured Moments….
Here are some treasured moments captured by the darling Hiram Garcia while we were shooting Jjumanji Next Level earlier 2019.
It had been a while since I stepped onto a sound stage. I felt insecure, rusty and uncomfortably nervous. We’ve all been there… when you’re yelling at yourself to “just walk through the door… “ But the other part is screaming “Run!!!!” I was immediately put at ease by a very warm welcome by my old friend Dwayne as he announced me to the cast and crew of hundreds. His compliments and genuine kindness made me feel right at home.
Jack and Kevin’s outrageously funny impromptu performances had me laugh to the point of tears and charged my creative batteries in all of the right ways. Some of the crew I had worked with on A.I. And Into The blue. They had the best of the best in all departments. Seeing all of these faces remembering the work we did together over decades and the time spent making the art that inspires us greatly, that deep connection we share was a gift.
I was finally back with my people, my tribe… reminded of my strengths, my gifts and that if you just walk through the door you win no matter what the result because ultimately you were courageous and that is where the real work begins.
